FATIMA The MOVIE
In Theaters and On Demand Friday, August 28th Witness our lady's message of hope and peace in Fatima, Portugal in 1917. Not showing in theaters near us, but you can see it ON DEMAND https://www.fatimathemovie.com/more-ways-to-watch/ https://www.fatimathemovie.com/ |
A powerful and uplifting drama about the power of faith, Fatima tells the story of a 10-year-old shepherd and her 2 young cousins in Fátima, Portugal, who report seeing visions of the Virgin Mary. Their revelations inspire believers but anger officials of both the Church and the secular government, who try to force them to recant their story. As word of their prophecy spreads, tens of thousands of religious pilgrims flock to the site in hopes of witnessing a miracle. What they experience will change their lives forever.

June 2020 - This Summer Looks a Bit Different ... Emmaus Days and Totus Tuus
Summer is here, and in the Office of Vocations that means two things: Emmaus Days and Totus Tuus! Emmaus Days is the summer event where young men in 7th grade and up learn to hear the voice of God and grow into the man that God wants them to be. And Totus Tuus is a summer evangelization experience in which college students and seminarians help families and parishes around the diocese dive into the teachings of the Church and the mysteries of the rosary in fun ways. We are sad that we're not able to have these two experiences in the ordinary way, but some great people are going to a lot of work to make sure they're still possible in some form! Rather than bore you with explanations, we made some videos explaining what we're going to do for Emmaus Days and Totus Tuus! --- Young men 7th grade through college age can register for Emmaus Days HERE. --- Families (for students in grades 1-6 and teens) can register for Totus Tuus HERE. Both experiences are free and both have active and video elements, so that we don't all have to just keep looking at screens! We're excited that we can meet up in this way, and some great new possibilities will come out of it. So go ahead and watch the videos and sign up, then we'll send info on how to participate within the next week! In Christ through Mary, Fr. Tim Hepner - Diocesan Vocation Director for Recruitment Amy Chovan - Coordinator - Office of Priestly Vocations CDOP TOTUS TUUS will post new videos, audio content, and activities on the following Totus Tuus Tuesdays...

Prayer for Vocations
Lord Jesus Christ, Shepherd of souls, who called apostles to be fishers of men, raise up new apostles in your Holy Church. Teach them that to serve you is to reign: to possess you is to possess all things. Kindle in the young hearts of your people the fire of zeal for souls. Make them eager to spread your Kingdom upon Earth. Grant them courage to follow you, who are the Way, the Truth and the Life; who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen. Prayer to Know Your Vocation Heavenly Father, you created us in such a way that each has a vocation in life to pursue for the good of the whole human race and your Church. Help me to know my vocation and to follow it with joy and dedication. No matter what problem I encounter, let me never lose hope, aware that you have given me the grace and talents to succeed in any vocation you call me to. Amen. |

Traveling Vocations Crucifix
(not taking place during these covid months)
More families are invited to participate in taking home our parish Vocations Crucifix. The prayers only take a few minutes each day to gather together and pray! The sign-up and wooden box with the Crucifix are on the shelves in the vestibule. You may keep a prayer pamphlet and/or card with you at home following the return of the crucifix. Let us pray for the gift of vocations to priesthood and religious life, but also for sacramental marriage and faithful single life. May our prayers help inspire young women and men to be attentive to the Holy Spirit and step forward in faith with generous hearts to follow.

![]() Understand the Parts
of the Mass If it's been a while since you last attended Mass or if you've never really understood what we do and say at Mass, a little brush up will help make the celebration more meaningful. In a short video series, Jeff Cavins makes the Mass come alive by explaining the deep meaning of it all. When we learn more about the Mass and actively participate, we get much more out of it and our lives will be changed. Watch any or all 10 parts HERE. |
