~ Parish Teams
ALL MEMBERS of St. Patrick's are assigned to participate on one of 5 teams. These teams help build parish life and
responsibilities are rotated annually. When there are Funeral Dinners, all teams are asked to provide food and
workers, with one team organizing and setting up for the dinner. Other service opportunities include First Communion
and Confirmation Brunch, Easter and Christmas Decorating, assisting the Parish Council with the annual late summer
Parish Picnic and organizing and serving the Harvest Breakfast. See the PARISH TEAM LIST HERE.
~ Altar Server
The name "server" identifies the role of an altar server at Mass - to serve God and his people by assisting the Priest
and parish community in their worship and celebration of the Eucharist. All servers should be 5th grade age or older
and must attend training sessions prior to serving at Mass. If interested, please contact Father Szydlik or Deacon Todd
Weber.
~ Lector
Lectors make the Living Word of God present by their proclamation during the Liturgy of the Word. They are trained
to successfully communicate the message. For more information about becoming a lector at St. Patrick's, please
contact Father Szydlik or Deacon Todd Weber.
~ Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion
These ministers assist with the distribution of the Precious Blood of Christ at Mass. They also have opportunities to take
the Eucharist to those at home or in local nursing homes. They attend training sessions and are commissioned by one of
our priests. If you are interested in becoming an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, please contact Father Szydlik
or Deacon Todd Weber.
~ Usher
Ushers foster a sense of welcome and belonging to those who assemble for Mass. The ushers assist in seating and
provide assistance when and where needed. They take up the collections during Preparation of the Gifts and hand out
materials after Mass on occasion. We have two more permanent ushers and several fill-in ushers. If you are interested in
helping when needed, contact Shorty Olson or Gene Whitted.
~ Choir Music Ministry
Usually on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month and on special feasts and solemnities, practice usually begins at 8:15 a.m.
before 9:00 a.m. Mass. All are welcome. For more information, contact Pam Elliott - [email protected].

~ Parish Collection Counter
Counters assist in the timely and accurate counting of Sunday and special collections for the parish. The team consists
of eight people. Confidentiality, discretion and security is imperative in this role.
~ Catechist
Every catechist is called to grow in faith and witness to the Gospel and the Church. The catechist not only teaches about
religion and doctrine, but also shares the ways in which God has been present in his or her own life. Each catechists'
uniqueness is a special gift to the young people he/she serves. Through word and example, catechists teach the Catholic
faith and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you're interested in helping with our K-8 program, contact Abbi Ferrie or
Tasha Troha - [email protected]. If you'd like to instruct our high school teens in alternate years when there
isn't a Confirmation class, please contact Deacon Todd Weber.
