February 2022

CLINT MARTENS was of GREAT ASSISTANCE and SERVICE to the Altar & Rosary Society for many, many years.  He was always the first to help with our event set up/tear down, spring cleaning, being the primary worker for funeral dinners and church preparation for funeral Masses, care of all church plants/flowers, an usher and church/hall cleaner during the long covid months/years, a co-chair for years of parish turkey dinners, a team chairperson with his wife, Judy, a huge help during Judy's years as DRE, and plenty of other behind-the-scenes work.  He was never asked, but jumped in and did whatever needed to be done.

Eternal rest grant unto, Clint, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.  Through the mercy of God, may he rest in peace.

Prayers & Love for Clint...and for Judy and her family,
- St. Patrick Altar & Rosary Society

St. Patrick Parish,

We will be forever grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers for Clint during his illness and death. Also for the love, prayers, and support for us. Clint told me to rely on our parish family because you would be a tremendous source of help and support. He was right (as usual)!
With love and sincere gratitude,
Judy Martens and family

ST NICHOLAS CHARITY THANK YOU to St. Patrick Parish, Wapella 2021
A special thanks to all who donated items to the St. Nicholas Charity on Wheels collection. A generous amount of paper items, laundry products, and $135 in monetary donations from your parish were loaded into the Charity van September 9th at St. Mary's parish, Bloomington. Your giving will be useful and is much appreciated in helping many families in the Peoria Diocese! Sister Michelle of the Servants Of The Pierced Hearts Of Jesus And Mary was very thankful as well!
