SJC and SH Family Formation Program
What is Family Formation? It is a unique family catechesis program which promotes parents as primary educators of their children in the Catholic Faith. Since its beginning, Family Formation has served thousands of families all over the United States and Canada. Through lessons, games, quizzes, stories, and music, solid Catholic teaching is transmitted, and the Faith is brought to life within the family.
How does it work? Monthly parent and child sessions are held in which adults receive catechesis and are taught how to teach their children that month's Home Lessons, while children meet in grade-level classroom settings.
What does that mean? Parents and children’s classes will occur on the first weekend of each month and the following three weekends after the first weekend, the parents will use the packets provided to teach their children.
Example: We will teach parents and children on Sunday, October 6th. Parents will teach their children on Sunday, October 13th, 20th, and 27th or the parents’ choice of days. Then, parents and children will come for another classroom teaching on Sunday, November 3rd.

Traveling Vocations Crucifix
(not taking place during these covid months)
More families are invited to participate in taking home our parish Vocations Crucifix. The prayers only take a few minutes each day to gather together and pray! The sign-up and wooden box with the Crucifix are on the shelves in the vestibule. You may keep a prayer pamphlet and/or card with you at home following the return of the crucifix. Let us pray for the gift of vocations to priesthood and religious life, but also for sacramental marriage and faithful single life. May our prayers help inspire young women and men to be attentive to the Holy Spirit and step forward in faith with generous hearts to follow.
