(It's french for "Rediscovery") It's a program designed to help couples who are hurting in their marriage. There are 3 phases - the weekend experience, the post weekend sessions and monthly support meetings. The weekend consists of a series of presentations given by a team of 3 couples and a priest. The team presents techniques of communication that enable couples to look at many areas of the marriage relationship. After each presentation, couples are given time in privacy to discuss what they just heard. Retrouvaille Is VERY different from other marriage programs. Some spouses resist the idea of attending, out of concern that they will be required to expose their personal lives. None of this is true. In fact, the program is entirely unique, and most couples find this is the very thing that worked when all else failed. We're often told this is one of the best kept secrets and couples regularly comment they wish they had done the program long before they did...that it would have saved them so much pain and anguish. For confidential information or to register, click HERE. For locations throughout the US and internationally HERE. LOCAL SUPPORT... following your weekend, a local support group meets the 2nd Saturday of each month at St. Patrick Church of Merna, Bloomington from 5:00-7:30pm. |
NAMI provides education, support and advocacy for children and adults with mental illness and their families. A NAMI Family Support Group meets EVERY Saturday at Chestnut Health Systems, 1003 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. in Bloomington at 10:30am OR 1pm. For specific information visit their website HERE.
